In an era when medicine is shifting toward managed care and patents are often becoming just a number, I want to rekindle the concept of the patient-doctor relationship and treat each patient as an individual with dignity and compassion. Having the ability to practice medicine is truly a gift and it should be taken seriously as our patients put their trust in us for their health matters.
I chose to become a physician as I truly enjoy interacting with patients day-to-day, getting to know my patients, and helping them through the journey of life with all the advancements of medicine. Being able to help my patients and make a difference has been one of the most gratifying experiences in my life. I chose Endocrinology as my sub-specialty as it deals with a very dynamic complex hormonal system that regulates our bodies in every imaginable way. The majority of Endocrine disorders are chronic, requiring lifelong management. This allows me the privilege of forming life long bonds with my patients.
My goal is to practice evidence-based medicine, while focusing on the patient as every therapy is not for every patient. With this in mind I feel that I will best be able to deliver a personalized degree of medical care in a private practice setting where I can spend ample time with each patient, understand their needs, and make an accurate diagnosis and personalized plan of care for each individual.
